Why won't my 3G iPod Auto Play/Pause?
Unfortunately, 3rd generation iPods do not support this feature and will not repsond to the SmartDeck's Auto Play/Pause commands. This feature was made available with the release of the 4th generation iPods. This also affects your iPod earbuds, which on 4G iPods and later, will pause the iPod automatically when the they are removed.
