I hear static when I plug in my speakers. Is this normal?

If you hear any static or other distortion when using the iFire then first check all your connections. Make sure they are seated all the way into the ports. If necessary try wiggling the headphone 1/8" stereo connections at each end of the cable to assure proper contact. Adjust the volume output of the device you are using to a lower setting and see if the distortion goes away. If you have done all these things and the issue persists then call us so that we can discuss the issue in more detail.
