You need the iMate driver software in order to use software protection "dongles". The driver supports all dongles that we have tested. This represents most of the dongle-protected programs. You can check our compatibility list to see if your dongle is supported.
In Mac OS X:
Applications that communicate with ADB devices like hardware protection dongles and color calibrators may work with the iMate OS X Driver when "Classic claims iMate" is selected in the iMate preference pane. However keep in mind that we have not been able to make it work reliably in all cases so we cannot guarantee complete compatibility.
Note:
The iMate may not work correctly with Tiger (10.4.6).
