iMate (Mac) - Release [9.2.7]
There is a red X through the iMate icon when I start up my computer. The iMate is definitely connected.
The computer is seeing the iMate driver but not the iMate hardware. Make sure the iMate is connected directly to a USB port on the computer (once you've verified the problem, you can always experiment with the iMate placement), and restart. If you're still getting the red X after trying different ports, you may have a defective iMate. Try [iMate Troubleshooting LINK].
If you're using a 233 Mhz iMac, make sure you have the latest iMac hardware and ROM updates installed. If you are still having problems, check the Mac OS ROM version by using the Get Info command under File or using the Apple System Profiler under the Apple Menu. The Mac OS ROM version should be 1.2.1 or higher. If it is not, install the Apple [iMac updates LINK].
