iMate (Mac) - Release [9.2.7]
I have an ADB device I was using on a Mac. Can I connect it to my PC? Your site says the iMate is PC compatible.
The iMate is PC compatible, but that doesn't mean all ADB devices are. The iMate will enable the basic mouse/cursor functionality of keyboards, mice, trackballs, trackpads, tablets, etc. on a PC. More advanced functions, would require a Windows ADB driver from the hardware manufacturer, and that driver doesn't exist.
We'd like to be very clear about this. You can connect your ADB device, but you can't enable all its functions by installing a USB driver or a driver you found on your Windows CD. If your device required a driver on a Macintosh, then that driver was looking for an ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) port. Obviously, there is no such port on a Windows machine, so there are no Windows drivers that can support the device. And if there is no driver available, then the iMate can't enable the extra functionality of the device.
