My PowerMate's not working with my Intel Mac!
Actually, it should work fine, with the latest version of the driver. However, if you have just recently upgraded to an Intel Mac, but used the older software installer, it's not going to work. This means you'll need to uninstall the software, and reinstall the newer PowerMate software available from our website. This requires an exact sequence of steps to be followed. Here's how:
- Download the latest version from the website and run the uninstaller.
- Delete the preference file called com.griffintechnology.powermate.plist. You would find this file by going to your HOME folder, opening the LIBRARY folder, and then opening the PREFERENCE folder. Drag the file to the trash, and empty the trash.
- Unplug the PowerMate.
- Restart the computer.
- Install the PowerMate software.
- Plug the PowerMate in. Rock on.
