Griffin & Nickelodeon Team Up to Introduce SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer Mobile Accessories at CES
New accessories for iPhone, Android, iPod touch and iPad inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer; on display at LVCC North Hall, Booth 5212
Las Vegas, NV – January 6, 2013 – Griffin Technology, one of the world’s foremost creators of innovations for everyday life, and Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, have partnered to create accessories for children’s mobile devices inspired by some of Nickelodeon’s most popular characters. The first three lines of mobile device accessories set to be introduced at CES feature SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Dora the Explorer, with a variety of additional accessories slated for the future.

Nickelodeon’s top animated series comes to life with the SpongeBob line of cases. SpongeBob SquarePants reaches more than 67 million viewers per month, with one-third of the audience being adults. Now kids of all ages can carry their favorite porous pal with them wherever they go with a variety of SpongeBob accessories. Adults will love the SpongeBob Folio iPad case ($49.99) with its nostalgic 8-bit style finish, decorated with popular Bikini Bottom characters. Inside, the folio frames the iPad and grips it securely. Faces for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G ($29.99) feature six interchangeable eyepieces and three interchangeable mouthpieces to create facial expressions and customize SpongeBob’s look. Skins for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G ($29.99) feature spongy silicone and fun faces. The huggable, squeezable SpongeBob Woogie ($29.99) is modeled after Griffin’s popular five-legged plush doll which doubles as a protective case for iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices inside a see-through, touch-through pocket with velcro closure (designed for ages 3 and up).
One of the most iconic and beloved kids’ television programs of the 1980s returned to Nickelodeon for a whole new generation of fans to enjoy. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles story continues with humor and larger-than-life adventures in the top-rated Nickelodeon series. Today’s youth and loyal fans of all generations can experience turtle power with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles accessories, including: a Shell for iPhone 5 and iPod touch ($29.99) made of a hard, durable exterior that protects against bumps, impacts and scratches; and a Folio for iPad ($49.99) designed to look like a turtle shell that flips open for access to the Multi-Touch display, and is equipped with microsuede lining and a loop to carry a stylus.
Learning and adventure never ends with Dora the Explorer – the series currently reaches more preschoolers than any other show on television (12.4 million viewers). Kids can explore their world with their favorite Latina heroine, with the Dora the Explorer Skin for iPod touch ($29.99). Griffin's Dora the Explorer skin is made of durable, soft silicone with easy access to camera and all ports, controls and connectors.
