Griffin Technology Debuts New Products at CES 2010
Come Visit the Griffin Booth at North Hall #4006
Las Vegas, Consumer Electronics Show — January 6, 2010 — Griffin Technology, maker of ingenious ways to power, play, protect and connect, today announced products debuting at CES 2010. These new designs will be on display, along with updates to other core items, in the Griffin booth, North Hall #4006, in the iLounge Pavilion.
"The consumer electronics industry prides itself on innovation, and nowhere is that better displayed than at CES," said Mark Rowan, President of Griffin Technology. "Griffin has consistently proven its commitment to creating new technologies, and we are pleased to present the industry with our newest line-up of products."
The Griffin 2010 line-up includes:
iFM
iFM is a compact FM radio receiver designed to fit into the dock connector of iPod or iPhone. Plug it into a Click Wheel or menu-driven iPod and it wakes up the embedded Apple radio control software on the iPod. Plug it into an iPhone or iPod touch, and use the Multi-Touch display with Griffin's iFM Radio Controller app (a free download from Apple's App Store). Either way, iFM provides an intuitive interface for controlling FM radio that's completely integrated with the way you use your iPod or iPhone every day. Griffin's new iFM is the way you've always wanted to listen to radio.
Hands-free Mic with Audio Cable
Plug in and say hello to the simplest hands-free kit the iPhone has ever seen. Griffin's Hands-free Mic with Audio Cable combines a 35.4" (90cm) stereo audio cable with a high-sensitivity microphone. Users can listen to music from their iPhone through a car stereo and talk hands-free with a single cable. Zero configuration, zero setup; just plug the slender microphone into the car's AUX-In audio jack and the 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo mini-jack in the iPhone. When a call comes in, click the cable's inline switch to answer and talk while keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. The incoming call plays through the car's speakers while the microphone picks up the user's voice loud and clear. Click again to end the call.
TuneJuice Universal
Sooner or later you'll need a charge someplace where there are no electrical outlets around, and you'll wish you could take the juice with you. With TuneJuice Universal, you can. Just pop 3 AA batteries in, slip it in a pocket for later, and take off. The built-in USB connector allows charging of a wide range of devices, ensuring power is always available when needed.
PowerJolt Plus
PowerJolt Plus is the perfect car charging solution for users with multiple devices. A 12V DC charger with coiled dock cable connects to iPod or iPhone for simple charging on the go. PowerJolt Plus then pops open, revealing a pass-through socket that allows connection of an additional 12V device.
Also available is PowerJolt Plus Mobile, a version of the charger with mini and micro-USB connections able to charge a wide array of devices. Leave no GPS, mobile phone or other device without power.
Video Display Converter
With the introduction of the "unibody" MacBook and MacBook Pro, Apple introduced a new video protocol—Mini DisplayPort. A more compact form of its DisplayPort connector, Mini DisplayPort (or Mini DP) allows monitors, projectors and other external displays to show images at resolutions of up to 2500 X 1600. Just disconnect the DVI side of Video Display Converter, and the simple two-piece adapter allows connection between Mini DP and HDMI. Griffin's Mini DisplayPort to DVI Converter makes connection to legacy displays that use the Digital Visual Interface quick and easy.
