Do I need to use the adapters included with this product?
To put it simply, yes. It's true that the Evolve will work just fine without any adapter in place, but without an adapter, the Evolve's 30-pin connector has to bear the weight of your device on its own, without any support. This can lead to damage to that dock connector that can affect charging, audio output, or both. Damage caused by failure to use the correct dock adapter is not covered under warranty.

If the adapter for your device wasn't included with the Evolve, you can use the adapter that was included with your iPod. If you don't have that adapter, or you need a spare, we can help you out. Adapters for the following devices can be purchased here:

- 4th Generation iPod nano
- 5th Generation iPod nano
